I'm a goof at heart.

I have been making theatre since I was 11, dancing onstage since I was 3, and goofing around since the day I was born. My name is Emily Bolles, and I am passionate about telling people's stories. I believe that theatre is a really unique medium through which we communicate our stories; one that plays a more central role in our lives than we give it credit for. It communicates a depth of emotion bigger than ourselves, which is why so many deeply feeling individuals, such as myself, find ourselves so drawn to it. What makes me unique as an artist is my ability to approach my art with a high level of empathy, understanding, and most of all, grounded-ness. I have spent most of my teenage and young adult years getting to know myself on a deep level which allows me to approach my art with the same intention. But at the end of the day, what makes it all worth it is finding the fun in the work. At the intersection of intention and goofiness is where I thrive as an artist and a theatremaker.
